My question about Jetpack is how do you handle the connection of the Jetpack plugin to a WordPress account? Do you register an account on WordPress for each client’s website you build if you want to utilize the Jetpack plugin? Or do you use your own WP account and keep connecting to it for multiple client’s sites? I’m confused as to why it even needs ‘connecting’…

Reply

Re: The 20 Best WordPress Plugins to Use in 2011

you have explained all the plugins very well. but i am still confused in ‘all in one seo pack plugin’ and ‘wordpress seo plugin’ by yoast. which one is best to optimize our website? i was using wp seo and then i have shifted to all in one seo pack. now i m confused which one should i use to better optimization. can you help me out?

Re: Transparency is Key to Building SEO Client Trust

I am with you on the above points . So I guess I can’t complain as far as my sites go, but I am complaining simply because Google’s index has become riddled with junk. To be honest Google makes so many changes all the time it really make me wonder how much data they really are using for QA. I mean it just seems with so many changes happening so fast that Google couldn’t possibly do any real QA testing to make sure that their changes are only affecting those sites they intended them to and very few of the sites they didn’t intend to affect. What I think Google needs to do is put every algorithm change through a beta process first and allow people to test it out for themselves and Google can ask the question of “Are we doing better?” Basically when Google was creating a new interface for Adsense or Analytics, they let people test it out before it was the new interface that everybody was forced to use. It would at least restore my confidence that Google is trying to do all they can to insure quality rather than doing it behind closed doors

Re: Google was forced into the negative SEO nightmare

Thanks for the comment Duke.

Re: Google was forced into the negative SEO nightmare

Nice article Jerry.. there is still more that Google can do to help seo address issues. penalising a site purely because there are links from low quality sites gives competitors a weapon against you. No matter what you do, many sites will link to you and some of them will be of low quality. the problem is even worse if you generate quality content. I'm sure if you pick a website like www.seomoz.org, you'll find tons of low quality sites that are nuturally linking to them. where do you draw the line. I think the mix of low quality and high quality sites linking to you should be a sign of natural link building I think.

Re: The duplicate content Myth

SPAM!
